Milestone Achievement of Bangladesh Cricket Team

Bangladesh Cricket Win against Newzealand

Bangladesh National Cricekt team has shown outstanding performance in the recently concluded New Zealand-Bangladesh 5 match one day Series held in Sher-e-Bangla cricket stadium, Mirpur. In this series Bangladesh beat Newzealand by 4-0, one match being postponed for rain. This is for the first time in Bangladesh history that the tigers have been able to win a series against an established National team like New-Zealand.
With this win, Bangladesh team has been elevated to number 8th position from number 9 in ICC world ranking.
The Whole nation jubilantly celebrated this land-sliding victory through the past weeks.

Bangladesh Boasts being one of the co-host countries for holding ICC world Cup 2011.

Bangladesh is going to co-host world cup cricket 2011 along with India and Srilanka. Four Cricket stadiums are being prepared for this mega events. The opening ceremony will be held at Bangabandhu National Stadium at Paltan, Dhaka. Cricket matches will be held at Sher-e-Bangla cricket stadium, Mirpur and Chittagong Cricket stadium.

Ministry of Youth and Sports has been entrusted with the responsibility of arranging this Gala events in association with Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Victory of Everest

Mr. Musa Ibrahim, first Bangladeshi citizen climbed up at the highest peak of Everest on 23rd may’2010 and there he hoisted the national flag of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Volleyball Team achieved Runners-up Trophy of International Volleyball Championships held in Pakistan from 28-30 January, 2009.

Bangladesh Shooting team achieved 2 gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medal at 8th commonwealth games held in Delhi from 18-28 February 2010.
